This movie is a documentary made with cell phone photos, videos and testimonials. Some scenes were filmes and used In the production - such as the courtroom proccedings along with severas others.

   The following comments are merely reflections and conjectures I have formed regarding the material presented  in the documentary, offered without any intention of passing judgment on the individuals  involved in the case .

    We are told the story of a 17-year-old girl who lives in Strongsville, Ohio, who hits the car she was driving against the wall of a building.    Travelling in the vehicle  with ger were her boyfriendly, Dom, and his  freind , Davion.     

    Mackenzie survived the acidente with a broken leg and other injuries, while the other two passengers perished.

    An investigation begins because she refuses to speak wtih the police without a lawyer, saying she doesn't remember anything. They start the investigation with the school friends of those involved in the accident. They admit that the couple ‘s relationship was troubled,  like every young person’s relationship.  She was living in his  house. He worked and had money.

    A suicide attempt was immediately ruled out; , she was very concerned about health, and took great care of her body, they say. In fact, she was extremely thin almost  anorexic  probably worried about ganing weight . She had fantasies of being a model for some famous brand. Hence   her concern about body and diet.

    In my opinion, Mackenzie felt special, too  good for her boyfriend. At the first  setback she threatened to end the relationship. Her close friends were chubby, in stark contrast  to  her  extreme thinness. 

     Finally, he showed them that she fells  special, better, abone all . to feel special, better, above all. Always approved by her parents ,who thought she was mature for her age.

   This sense   of superiority over others  stems from the childish fantasy of omnipotence , a fantasy she never managed to  outgrow ,  precisely because of own immaturity. 

   Citting the famous phrase “His Majesty , the baby” Freud tells us about the total devocional  parents offer  píon a newborn’s arrival.   Soon after, once the child Is a  little older, the fantasy of being "owner of the world" arises. This is very present in the stories of boys and girls such as Superman, Spiderman, princesses and princes. As children grow And mature , they understand that they are  frágile beings. But if they curry this belief of being invincible into adulthood , it can break contact with real human suffering. Hindering the ability to feel empathy and respect,  results from  identification with the other.

    She is the “chosen one” , she  Is slender, and at just 17, She Is already living  with her boyfriend .To execute her despires and white,she sucks not only his money , but mail y his attention, his affections, and his availability. She feels lume his owner, not his companion. Hence the threats. By all appearances she does not actually like him; she uses him.  He Is the object that can keep the fantasy that supports her belief in her superiority over others. 

    The investigation i revelaled that she did not attempt to brake before  chashing  the car into the wall.   It also  showed that she was travelling at a speed   exceeding150 Km/ H .  That speed was more than enough  to kill whoever was o the line of impact. On top of that , she had already  threattened tô hit the car before.    

       Anyway, the facts, plus the information from the car ‘s black box , the lack respect  and affection towards the boy freind , prove the intention..

     

     I notice that her parents dany the facts  and reinforce in her a presumption of   innocence, even when  everything points to the contráry . They go so far as to apologize to her for having failed to get her out of jail.  Furthermore,  the parente’s attitude reinforce the belief that she can do anything - even kill.

    In my opinion,   Mackenzie's despair, which leads her to this extreme act, began when  Davion mover   into their  house.   Her boyfriend  Dom, wanting to get away from her and  realizing  the abuse  and disrespect, invites Davion, his friend, as só not to be alone with her at home. He intuitively feels the danger, her anger when contradicted.   Any attitude of his part, motivated by a desire to distance himself  from her,  would unleash her fury.  Unable to confront her directly , he sought the help - and the witness- of a friend, who ultimately became a target as well. 

     A  sad  story.  A sad ending  for  Dom and Davion,- a  generous, intelligent and  caring young man. . And sad  ending,  too, for Mackenzie  unless her parentes help her understand  the harm she hás  caused   (assuming even that her cruelty was  unintentional) 

    She did it ; she is going to get out of prison, probably feeling  wronged and  with even more hatred toward the wor

     Esse filme é um documentário feito com fotos de celular , vídeos e depoimentos . Algumas cenas filmadas como o julgamento , etc. 

   Os comentários a seguir são apenas reflexões e conjecturas  que formulei baseada tendo em vista o material  apresentado no documentário. Sem nenhuma pretensão de julgamento dos envolvidos no caso . 

   Nos conta a história uma jovem de 17 anos que mora em  Strongsville, Ohio, que bate com o carro que  dirigia  contra o muro de um prédio . Nesse carro estavam seu namorado Dom e o amigo de Dom , Davion. 

   Mackenzie sobrevive ao acidente apenas  com perna quebrada além de alguns outros ferimentos enquanto os outros  passageiros pereceram.

   Começa uma investigação pois ela se recusa a falar com a polícia, sem advogado, dizendo não se recordar de nada. Começam conversando 0com os amigos do colégio dos envolvidos no acidente. Admitem que o relacionamento dos dois namorados era conturbado como todo relacionamento de jovens. Mas os amigos de Dom  discordam e começam a depor sobre a insatisfação deste sobre o relacionamento . Ela estava morando na casa dele. Ele trabalhava e tinha dinheiro . 

    Tentativa de suicidio foi colocado logo fora de questão,  ela era muito preocupada com saúde, e cuidava muito do corpo, dizem.   Na verdade ela era extremamente magra quase com aparência anoréxica, provavelmente  preocupada em não engordar e tinha fantasias de ser modelo de alguma marca famosa.  Portanto sua   preocupação exagerada com o corpo e alimentação. 

    Em minha opinião , Mackenzie se sentia especial, boa demais para o namorado e a qualquer contrariedade ameaçava terminar o namoro.  Suas amigas próximas eram gordinhas de forma que ela fazia contraste com elas por  sua magreza.

    Enfim demonstrava sentir-se especial, melhor, acima de todos. Sempre aprovada por seus pais que a achavam madura para a idade. 

    Esse sentimento de superioridade em relação aos demais provém da fantasia infantil de onipotência que justamente por infantilidade , ela nunca teria ultrapassado. 

    Citando a famosa frase :  “Sua Majestade , o bebê “ Freud nos fala da disponibilidade dos pais com a recém chegada do bebê . Logo depois,  pouco mais velho, a fantasia de ser “dono do mundo”  surge.  Isso está muito presente nas histórias de meninos e meninas como Superman, Spideman, princesas e príncipes. Mas ,  mi o tempo , a criança cresce e ganha maturidade entendendo e aceitando sua fragilidade. .   Porém se, se mantiver  na crença de ser invencível, isso pode  romper o  contato com o sofrimento humano real. Dificultando a capacidade de sentir empatia e respeito , fruto da identificação com o outro.

  Ela  é a eleita, magra,  e vivendo com o namorado aos 17 anos que ela suga não só o dinheiro, mas, principalmente a atenção, o afeto e a disponibilidade de executar seus desejos e caprichos. Ela se sente a dona dele , não a companheira . Daí as ameaças .  Ela não gosta dele, ela o usa . Ele é o objeto que pode manter a fantasia que apoia nela a crença de sua superioridade em relação aos outros.

    Com a investigação fica provado que ela não tentou frear o carro , antes de bater contra o muro, e que estava a mais de 150 Km/h. Velocidade mais que suficiente pra levar  à morte quem  estivesse na linha do impacto.

    Ainda por cima já havia ameaçado bater com o carro, antes . 

    Enfim, os fatos, mais a caixa preta do carro, a falta de respeito e de carinho com o namorado,  direciona para a intenção .

    Vemos que seu pai e sua mãe negam e alimentam nela a suposição de inocência , mesmo após evidências contrárias demonstradas no julgamento. Chegam a pedir perdão a ela por não terem conseguido livra-la da prisão. Essa atitude dos pais contribui para manter a crença de que ela pode tudo - até matar.

      Em minha opinião, a causa do desespero de Mackenzie, que a leva a esse ato extremo,  começa, com a entrada de Davion na casa.  Seu namorado, Dom , querendo se afastar dela, percebendo o abuso e o desrespeito , convida Davion , seu amigo,  para não ficar só com ela em casa. Ele intuitivamente sente o perigo , a raiva dela quando contrariada. Qualquer atitude dele,  relacionada à  vontade de afastamento dela, faz  romper nela uma fúria. A Como  não consegue enfrentá-la pede ajuda e a testemunha  do amigo que termina  também por ser alvo . Triste história. Triste  fim de Dom e Davion, generosos, inteligentes e afetivos. E triste fim também para Mackenzie que, se seus pais não a ajudarem a entender o mal que fez ( supondo até, que sua crueldade  não tenha sido intencional)  sairá da cadeia provavelmente sentindo-se injustiçada e com mais ódio ainda do mundo.
