The film is a documentary made from video calls between a journalist and Fitem Hassouna, a Palestinian woman who is trapped in Gaza during the Israeli attacks.

This young woman is 24 years old and lives with her family, which includes two brothers, one aged 20 and the other aged 15. 

In these calls, she talks about herself and her family and their experiences during a year of war in Gaza and the loss of beloved family members, especially her grandmother, to whom she was very close.

From an early age, she knew she wanted to be a photographer; she was sure of this even before the war. 

They talk about their hope that the war will end. Fatem talks about hunger, fear, discouragement and exhaustion imposed by the Israeli strategy, which gradually leads to physical weakness caused by lack of food and emotional exhaustion. Sometimes Fatem shows indifference about the possibility of not surviving. He writes poetry, and in one of his poems she no longer knows if she is human or a fish. A fish with crows on top of her. Because, as she says, she always had a simple life, but they took everything from her. They want everything. She was left with nothing. 

The greed that brings with it the desire to dehumanise others, to strip them of their dignity as human beings, to reduce them to animals to be hunted.

Almost an anthropophagic desire to devour others, seeking to take away their right to live their lives to the fullest as they wish, even if it is a simple life. 

The principle of colonialism is based on the belief, the distorted and convenient idea, that some people have the right to freedom, who command, while others were born to be slaves, to obey. The former are those who possess the capital to purchase weapons and, through brute force, can exert physical oppression over those who, like a "Sophie's Choice," must decide between slavery or death. In addition to this physical domination, they exercise their tyranny through massive investment in manipulation through current "fake news."Lies, intrigue to conceal their selfish and criminal interests and launch about those who want to harm false intentions to depreciate them. This practice is not current, it has always existed and many prejudices were born. The depreciation of the other is a powerful weapon to hide its own malignancy and put it in the other.

Getting the truth of your actions not to be revealed.. Fake News is the sand thrown into the eyes of those who watch. Even knowing that “the king is naked,” it is necessary to see the beautiful and sumptuous robes. You can't even think anything else. This is worse slavery. To believe in fake news is to be about the worst imperialist domination. For deep down it is to discredit itself and the truth that is there, raw and whole. In front of everyone. Believing fake news is losing confidence in you.

She wants to see the world, but the suffering of her family, friends and the residents of Gaza makes her feel so connected that, for her, no place is like her city, her home.

She hopes that the war in Gaza will be the last war in the world. She believes that what they are going through is part of Allah's plan.

This war is causing worldwide outrage due to the high degree of cowardice accompanied by lies and hypocrisy. The brazenness of the aggressors and their diabolical cruelty, killing to hide the truth, is uniting humanity in a way that I believe has never been seen before. Perhaps, who knows, after Gaza, something in human history will actually change.  Because almost everyone today literally has their heart in Palestine. Unparalleled commotion in our history. It seems that humanity no longer tolerates the greedy, cruel and arrogant attitudes of imperialists. It has become unbearable!  

At least for those who did not remain silent, quiet, indifferent in the face of cruelty perpetrated by evil.   At least for those who care about others, for those who are sensitive and conscientious.   

At least for those who care about others, for those who have the sensitivity and awareness that life is a cultural heritage of our human society. And to act in a way that denies this cultural asset, which is fundamental to the construction of collective identity, is a civilizational regression that plunges us into social and cultural decay. A decline into barbarism.

    And those other wicked ones in the alliance will ultimately be responsible for the disastrous consequences. For they form a silent and cowardly army supporting injustice.   

What they deny is that when it comes to human suffering imposed by another human being, any omission is active and effective collaboration.  It is support, just like applauding a lynching.  And when that deafening silence decides the outcome, those are the great traitors, the worst culprits.           Although the photos are of destruction, the beauty of the love between these people brings them together to care for one another, facing their pain, misery, fear, and suffering together and revealing themselves to the world through the interviewer, seeking to portray the truth.

She turned the war documentary, which is always violent and cold, into a beautiful story  that shines through smiles and the faith of a pure heart that  seeks  truth, love, and peace in harmony with others. Despite the death and destruction around her. She felt that photography was her mission. Before the war, she took beautiful photos, but now her mission is to photograph the truth. She fulfilled her goal so well that she ended up losing her life for it. She faced the enemy with courage.

Fatem thought she didn't have a life story. But the story she tells about herself and the life around her may change many other lives, many other stories. Fatem wanted to see the world.    Like her artist friend who became famous after her death, she will also fly to all corners of the world and probably for all eternity that fits into life on earth; through her testimony and her photos, taken with her soul in her hand. 

  It is as she says: ‘They cannot destroy us!’

  For the truth, even if denied, stifled, censored, concealed, buried under layers of lies, will not disappear. The truth is always the way, the way is the truth, the rest is a dead end.

Pegue sua alma na mão e caminhe

 

 Filme é um documentário feito por videochamadas de uma jornalista com Fatem Hassouna, palestina, que está presa em Gaza durante os ataques de Israel.

Essa moça tem 24 anos mora com sua família que tem mais 2 irmãos um 20 e outro de 15 anos. 

Nessas ligações ela vai contando sobre ela e sua família e as experiências durante um ano de guerra em Gaza e as perdas de membros queridos da família, especialmente a avó a quem era muito próxima.

  Desde cedo ela já sabia que queria ser fotógrafa , tinha certeza disso mesmo antes da guerra . 

   Falam  sobre esperança que a guerra acabe.  Fatem fala da fome, do medo, do desânimo e cansaço  que a estratégia israelita vai impondo, sempre aos poucos levando junto com a fraqueza física, provocada pela falta de comida, um desgaste emocional. As vezes mostrando Fatem indiferença sobre a possibilidade de não sobreviver. Ele faz poesias e numa delas ela  não sabe mamis se é humana ou se é um peixe. Um peixe com corvos em cima de si. Pois como diz ela sempre teve vida simples mas eles tiraram tudo dela. Tudo eles querem. Ficou sem nada. 

A ganância que traz em si o desejo de desumanizar o outro , tirar deste a dignidade da condição humana, rebaixá-lo a um animal para ser caçado.

Quase um desejo antropofágico de devorar o outro que visa tirar dele o direito de ter sua vida na plenitude como ele quer , mesmo que simples

.O. princípio do colonialismo baseia-se na crença, na ideia distorcida e conveniente , de que existem pessoas que têm direito à  liberdade, que mandam,  enquanto outras nasceram para serem escravos, obedecer.  Os primeiros são os detentores de capital para compras de armas que , pela força bruta podem exercer opressão física sobre aqueles outros que como “uma escolha de Sofia” tem de decidir entre a escravidão ou morte. Além dessa dominação física, exercem sua tirania através de grande investimento em manipulação por meio de atuais “ fakes News”. Mentiras, intrigas com objetivo de escamotear seus interesses egoistas e criminosos e lançar sobre àqueles a quem querem prejudicar falsas intenções com objetivo de depreciá-los. Essa prática não é atual , sempre existiu e delas nasceram muitos preconceitos .A depreciação do outro é arma poderosa para esconder a própria malignidade e ainda, colocá-la no outro. Conseguindo que a verdade de suas ações não sejam reveladas. Fake News é a areia jogada nos olhos de quem assiste. Mesmo sabendo que “o rei está nu”, é necessário que se veja as lindas e suntuosas vestes.  Nao se pode sequer pensar outra coisa. Essa é a escravidão pior. Acreditar na fake News é estar sobre a pior dominação imperialista. Pois , no fundo é desacreditar de si mesmo e da verdade que está ali, crua e inteira. Na frente de todos. Acreditar em fake News é perder a confiança em si. 

 

Fatem quer conhecer o mundo mas o sofrimento de sua família, amigos e moradores de Gaza a faz sentir-se ligada de uma forma  que, pra ela , nenhum lugar é como sua cidade, sua origem.

Ela tem esperança que a guerra em Gaza seja a última guerra do mundo. Ela acredita que o que estão passando tem um objetivo de Alah.

  Essa guerra está provocando uma indignação mundial pelo alto grau de covardia acompanhada com muita mentira e hipocrisia. A vida para esses sanguinários não tem valor.  O descaramento dos agressores e crueldade diabólica que matam para esconder a verdade é que está unindo a humanidade fruto de civilização que tem como valor  a preservação e o direito á vida., de uma forma acho que nunca antes vista.  Talvez , quem sabe, depois de Gaza , alguma coisa ,de fato, na história humana, se transforme.  Pois quase todo mundo hoje, literalmente, tem seu coração na Palestina. Comoção inigualável na nossa história. Parece que a humanidade já não tolera atitudes gananciosas, cruéis e arrogantes dos imperialistas. Ficou insuportável!   Pelo menos para aqueles que não ficaram calados, quietos, indiferentes frente a crueldade operada pelo mal.   Pelo menos para os que se importam com o outro, para quem tem sensibilidade e consciência de que a vida é patrimônio  cultural de nossa sociedade humana. E agir de forma a negar esse bem cultural que está na construção da identidade coletiva é um retrocesso civilizatório que nos  lança  na decadência social e cultural humana. Declinio à barbarie. 

   E, aqueles outros perversos na aliança ,no final das contas , serão estes os  responsáveis pelas consequências desastrosas. Pois formam um exército silencioso e covarde apoiando a injustiça. O que esses negam é que quando a questão é sofrimento humano imposto por outro ser humano, toda omissão é uma colaboração ativa e efetiva.  É um apoio assim como o aplaudir um linchamento é pra isso criam mentiras e justificativas que culpabilizam as vítimas.. E  quando esse silêncio ruidoso cheio de auto enganos decide o resultado  esses são os grandes traidores, os piores culpados.

   Apesar das fotos serem de destroços   A beleza do amor entre essas pessoas as faz se unirem no  cuidado uns dos outros, enfrentando juntos e revelando-se ao mundo, através da entrevistadora, sua dor, miséria, medo e sofrimento , em busca de retratar a verdade. Fez do documentário de guerra que é sempre violento e frio , um relato de beleza  que perpassa pelo sorriso, pela fé de um coração puro que  procura a  verdade, o amor e paz na conivência como outro. Apesar das mortes e destruição em volta. Ela sentia na fotografia uma missão, antes da guerra fazia fotos bonitas mas agora sua missão é de fotografar a verdade. Ela cumpriu tão bem seu objetivo que acabou perdendo a vida por isso. Com coragem enfrentou o inimigo.

Fatem achava que não tinha uma história de sua vida. . Mas a história que ela retrata de si e da vida à sua volta talvez consiga mudar muitas outras vidas, outras histórias . Fatem queria conhecer o mundo.

 Como a amiga artista que ficou conhecida após a morte, ela também vai voar pra todos os cantos do mundo e provavelmente por toda eternidade que couber na vida da terra; através do seu depoimento e de suas fotos feitas, com a alma na mão.

 É como ela diz : “ eles não podem nos destruir!”

  Pois que a verdade mesmo que negada, sufocada, censurada, escamoteada, enterrada debaixo de pedras sobre pedras de mentiras, não desaparecerá. A verdade é sempre o caminho, o caminho é a verdade o resto é beco sem saída.
